Thanks to everyone who turned out at Ward Ave. last Saturday for International Coastal Cleanup Day. The beach was relatively clean, and we has some snowy plover sightings, but we still managed to collect a bag each of recycling and trash, including 100 yards of fishing line, net, and rope, 4 plastic bottles, and 11 cigarette butts. Other beaches in Mendocino County aren't as lucky and attract more trash because of the currents and volume of visitors.
