International Coastal Cleanup Day is the world's largest annual preservation and protection event and volunteer effort for our ocean, waves and beaches. It is a global movement that encompasses 6 million volunteers in 90 countries and all of the United States. The cumulative result is not only cleaner and healthier coastline but also a raised consciousness for accessible actions people can integrate into their lives to promote healthy beaches on a daily basis.
For the 14th year in a row, the Surfrider Foundation - Mendocino County Chapter will be sponsoring the  Ward Ave. cleanup from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Stop by and say hi, and join in the fun. Please bring gloves and a container for trash.  We’ll have a home base at the Ward Ave. Parking Lot.  A friendly reminder: Ward Ave. north to 10 Mile Beach is one of the few areas on our coast that doesn’t allow dogs on the beach, even with a leash.
If you fill up a bag and want to do more, please join our friends from Noyo Center, who will be cleaning Noyo Harbor Beach on the same day.
Let’s keep Mendocino County beaches clean!
