International Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 16th

International Coastal Cleanup Day is the world's largest annual preservation and protection event and volunteer effort for our ocean, waves and beaches. It is a global movement that encompasses 6 million volunteers in 90 countries and all of the United States. The cumulative result is not only cleaner and healthier coastline but also a raised consciousness for accessible actions people can integrate into their lives to promote healthy
beaches on a daily basis.
For the 13th year in a row, the Mendocino County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation will be sponsoring the Ward Ave. cleanup from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Stop by and say hi, and join in the fun. Please bring gloves and a container for trash.  We’ll have a home base at the Ward Ave. Parking Lot.  A friendly reminder: Ward Ave. north to 10 Mile Beach is one of the few areas on our coast that doesn’t allow dogs on the beach, even with a leash.
If you fill up a bag and want to do more, please join our friends from Noyo Center, who will be cleaning Noyo Harbor Beach on the same day.
Let’s keep Mendocino County beaches clean!
