Ormond Beach Plastic Straw Ordinance

In the summer of 2019, our Volusia/Flagler Chapter began working with the Ormond Beach community and elected officials to suggest a plastic straw ordinance in The city of Ormond Beach. The reduction of plastic straws helps to decrease the need for fossil fuels, which are used for these wasteful and lightweight single use plastics which often end up as litter in our marine environments.

The Ordinance passed on September, 18th upon second reading!
